Trump has talked about how he saved free Speech during his State Of The Union address, “And I have stopped all government censorship and brought back free speech in America. It’s back.”
However, Trump’s actions speak louder than words by targeting pro-Palestine activists on college campuses across the US for protesting the ongoing genocide committed by Israel. One example is the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil by ICE agents because of his pro-Palestinian activism. They claim that Khalil’s pro-Palestinian activism against the ongoing war in Gaza is somehow a threat to US national security.
Now the Trump administration is targeting anyone who is against Israel’s genocidal war crimes especially on college campuses. Now they want to deport Khalil.

Khalil’s wife, Noor Abdalla recorded her husband’s arrest which resembled what happened in Nazi Germany. Khalil’s arrest has outraged activists, human rights organizations, and legal scholars all over the world. The judge in Khalil’s case decided that he can be deported, but his lawyers have appealed against the unjust decision.
This is just the beginning. Trump has targeted universities for allowing students to protest Israel’s genocide as The Harvard Crimson reported that
“Harvard sued the Trump administration in federal court on Monday over its multibillion dollar cuts to the University’s research funding, accusing the White House of undertaking an arbitrary and unconstitutional campaign to “punish Harvard for protecting its constitutional rights.”
What the Trump administration wants from Harvard and eventually from all universities across the US is absurd:
The move comes just one day after the Trump administration reportedly planned to cut another $1 billion in federal grants and contracts from Harvard, on top of an existing $2.2 billion cut that was announced last week.
And it sets in motion a historic legal clash as Harvard attempts to combat the Trump administration’s devastating multi-agency campaign to slash the University’s funding in exchange for deep concessions — including federal audits of Harvard’s programs, agreements to screen international students for their beliefs, and the installation of administrators who will ensure the White House’s demands are carried out
Harvard’s response is reasonable:
In the complaint, Harvard accused the administration of unlawfully freezing billions in research funding to pressure the University into restructuring its governance, academic programs, and hiring practices. It argued that the freeze violates the First Amendment by “imposing viewpoint-based conditions on Harvard’s funding.”
The University also accused federal agencies of bypassing legally required procedures under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, alleging that the Department of Health and Human Services cut off grants without fair legal justification. The freeze, Harvard’s lawyers wrote, “has nothing at all to do with antisemitism and Title VI compliance”
Trump ordered to freeze funds until Harvard caves in, but the university said that they would defy whatever demands including the push to crack down on free speech and expel or arrest pro-Palestinian activists such as Students for Justice in Palestine, Jewish Voice for Peace and other groups who held protests on its campus. The Trump administration has claimed that the students who protest Israel’s war crimes are “antisemitic” and that they simply “hate Jews.”
In early February, Trump established a “Task Force ” to combat antisemitism:
Pursuant to President Trump’s Executive Order on Additional Measures to Combat Anti-Semitism, the Justice Department announced today the formation of a multi-agency Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism. The Task Force’s first priority will be to root out anti-Semitic harassment in schools and on college campuses.
In addition to the Department of Justice, the Task Force will include representatives from the U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and other agencies as it develops. The Task Force will be coordinated through the Department’s Civil Rights Division
Who is part of this Task Force?
Leo Terrell who calls himself “Leo 2.0.” is a frequent guest on FOX News ‘Hannity,’ a far-right television show. Terrell will be the senior counsel to the assistant attorney general for civil rights and will be one of the main officials in the Task Force to fight “alleged” antisemitism committed by pro-Palestinian activists. Then there is Josh Gruenbaum, who in an interview with Jewish Insider said
“This administration does not tolerate hate in the form of antisemitism. So, I think the way you translate that to contracts and grants is you look at, well, what sort of partner should this federal government be doing business with?”
In other words, if you don’t stop antisemitism. you will not receive any grants or funding for any project.
Trump also appointed Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun to the role of ‘special envoy to monitor and combat antisemitism’. According to the Times of Israel:
US President Donald Trump has selected a new special envoy to monitor and combat antisemitism, elevating a Miami businessman and fundraiser named Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun to the role.
“Yehuda is a successful businessman, and staunch advocate for the Jewish Faith and the Rights of his people to live and worship free from persecution,” Trump said on Truth Social, announcing his selection. “With Anti-Semitism dangerously on the rise, Yehuda will be the strongest Representative for Americans and Jews across the Globe and promote PEACE. Congratulations Yehuda!”
This tyranny is nothing new, it started with the Patriot Act under George W. Bush after the Mossad-CIA-Neocon orchestrated attack on 911. The US and its colonial territories will be under a Gestapo-type military force since the Trump administration signed an Executive Order called ‘STRENGTHENING AND UNLEASHING AMERICA’S LAW ENFORCEMENT TO PURSUE CRIMINALS AND PROTECT INNOCENT CITIZENS’ where it states in Section 4 the following:
Using National Security Assets for Law and Order. (a)Within 90 days of the date of this order, the Attorney General and the Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the Secretary of Homeland Security and the heads of agencies as appropriate, shall increase the provision of excess military and national security assets in local jurisdictions to assist State and local law enforcement.
(b)Within 90 days of the date of this order, the Secretary of Defense, in coordination with the Attorney General, shall determine how military and national security assets, training, non-lethal capabilities, and personnel can most effectively be utilized to prevent crime
So, will the US military collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to prevent certain crimes such as antisemintism? It seems that it will soon be antisemitic to peacefully protest or speak out against the state of Israel.
But it won’t end there.
At first it will begin with the crimes of “antisemitism”, then they will go after Anti-War movements, free speech organizations, and anti-GMO groups which is a threat to Big Food corporations such as Monsanto. Then they will target anti-vaxx groups, they will go after the alternative media or anyone who uses social media platforms that posts pro-Palestinian memes, articles, etc., just like they did with Rümeysa Öztürk, a Tufts University student from Turkey who co-authored an article in The Tufts Daily that criticized the university’s response to Tufts Community Union Senate’s resolutions on the genocide in Gaza.
Ozturk was abducted by law enforcement officers with their faces covered on a Boston street and sent to a Louisiana immigration detention center where she was held for more than six weeks for her political views.
If you think Trump’s Gestapo can’t do that to you or anyone else you know on US soil, you are mistaken. What if the next US President is a Democrat who is against the 2nd Amendment Right to Bear Arms and thinks gun owners are a threat to national security? You think they won’t arrest gun owners in the future? Think again.
This is just the beginning. Its Nazi Germany 2.0. Arresting people without due process is one step further into an Orwellian nightmare where law enforcement and military personnel can arrest you and throw you in an unmarked car because of your personal beliefs, opinions, or for criticizing your government’s actions for whatever reason.
This is the end of free speech for US citizens because it seems that the US constitution is becoming irrelevant, especially when it comes to speaking out against a foreign nation.
