In the beginning of his second term (2024), President Donald Trump predicted that he would be remembered as a ‘peacemaker and unifier ‘ suggesting on Inauguration Day that “Our power will stop all wars and bring a new spirit of unity to a world that has been angry, violent and totally unpredictable” and that Americans will know “success by wars that we end and the wars we never get into.” Prior to the election, Trump promised to be a ‘peace president” who would promptly shut down the war in Ukraine.
Yet, to date, none of those peace aspirations have found a privileged place in the Trump Administration. Within weeks of his inauguration, his administration began a month long series of unsuccessful, unprovoked attacks on the Houthis in Yemen just as Trump never rebuked Israel for their unconscionable genocide on the Palestinians.
Rather than a peace candidate, Trump’s anti interventionist speechifying has proven contrary to his earlier bombast, now exposed openly as a Zionist supporter of Israel’s unprecedented stunning attacks on Iran. Most appalling has been the revelation of Trump’s flip-flop and use of diplomacy as a deceptive tactic to convince the Iranians he was in earnest, in search of peace while, at the same time, working behind the scenes on behalf of Netanyahu’s surprise war on Iran.
For weeks, Trump played a treacherous game that he was ‘negotiating’ with Iran fomenting a pretense of whether Iran should be allowed to enrich uranium in order to allow for commercial nuclear production. In reality, Trump was stalling, behind the scenes, as Netanyahu organized details of the illegal Israeli attack.
While internationally known war criminal, Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu has claimed that Iran has been building a nuclear weapon since the early 1990’s, the truth is that the nuclear issue is a non-starter as cause for the current crisis. It is generally accepted that Netanyahu’s real intent of the war is ‘regime change’ which in the past, has been used effectively to reduce a large independent country like Iran, broken into smaller parts of its former self, not unlike the fate of Yugoslavia in 1990, as better able to control and influence the geopolitical reality on one world government.
As a complex country of a 90 million population with diverse ethnicities, it might be believed that regime change would sufficiently fragment the millennial Iranian culture and break up Iran from being a large powerful country into a series of less threatening and more chaotic nation states. US President Donald Trump has dared to suggest that the assassination of Supreme Leader Khameini might be desirable in order to introduce a level of chaos and fragmentation.
Upon the early morning hours on June 13th, there might have been an expectation that assassinations of Iran’s core leadership class and several of its nuclear scientists might have substantially shaken Iran’s political system; severely alarmed the country’s Supreme Leader Khameini to disengage from any meaningful opposition or to acquiesce to Israel’s unprovoked attack rather than protect its geopolitical sovereignty. While the Israeli’s dealt a massive blow to Iran’s geopolitical culture and its millennial thousand year history, the country’s citizens pushed against the possibility that Operation Rising Lion would break the spirit of the country, that the assassination of Khameini would surely lead to a collapse of the popular will, a breakdown that would fracture the essence of the country, striking at the country’s leadership as Israel did in its first early morning strike.

Soon after the early morning hours of Israel’s attack, Trump openly confessed his complicity with Israel revealing that he ‘always knew’ details of the planned attack. In a display of braggadocio, Trump revealed
“I always knew the date for the attack. Because I know everything. I know everything. I know everything.”
Within hours of the first attack which occurred while Iranians were asleep, Trump sent a Truth Social post:
“I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal. I told them in strongest terms; ‘just do it…’ that the US makes the best and most lethal military equipment in the world, BY FAR, and that Israel has a lot of it – with much more to come. There has already been great death and destruction but there is still time to make this slaughter, with the next planned attacks being even more brutal; come to an end.”
Referring to Iranians who were negotiating with the US, Trump continued “certain hardliners spoke bravely but they didn’t know what was about to happen; They are all DEAD now and it will get only worse. Iran must make a deal.”
In response to the lethal onslaught, Trump told ABC News that
“I think it’s been excellent. They got hit hard, very hard. And there’s more to coming; a lot more.”
Yet, at the same time, Trump changed his tune:
“the US had nothing to do with the attack on Iran tonight.”
In response to a question whether his Administration would be joining Israel in an attack on Iran, the President told Rachel Scott, ABC News reporter
“We’re not involved in it. It’s possible we could get involved. But we are not at this moment involved.” Trump went on to tell Scott that ‘we will have peace, soon, between Israel and Iran. I do a lot but never get credit for anything.”
In addition, on June 14th a Truth Social post informed that
“The US had nothing to do with the attack tonight.”
Confirming US role in Israel’s attack on Iran, Trump said “we now have total and complete control of the skies over Iran” demanding an “unconditional surrender” while warning Tehran’s 10 million residents to evacuate and that Supreme Leader Khamenei’s hideaway was not a secret.
With the usual hubris, Trump refuted MAGA criticism of his support for Israel’s attack at the same time his Presidential favorability continued to drop. He describes himself as the originator of MAGA (Make America Great Again) taking credit for its success, insisting that he alone will decide MAGA actions, ostensibly whether MAGA supports the US war on Iran.
In response to Oval Office reporters, Trump confirmed that
‘my supporters are for me…my supporters are America First; they make America great again. My supporters don’t want to see Iran have a nuclear weapon.”
Current polls however have challenged the President’s assumption of widespread MAGA support for war against Iran.
All of the above begs the question of whether Trump has the necessary mojo to be the activist peace President that many Americans anticipated.
The truth is that Trump is being duped by Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu to protect his own butt and by his billionaire Zionist campaign donors to guarantee US military support, funding and participation in Israel’s war against Iran. The President is holding off on a final decision to bomb Iran in order to provide Iran with time to ‘make a deal.’
If there is anyone besides US President Donald Trump who believes that the US attack on Iran’s Fordow underground nuclear facility will be quick and dirty; that is, fairly straightforward, in and out and over before the dust settles — there may be a series of unexpected glitches awaiting.

Already on the edge of a financial abyss before Israel’s attack on Iran, it will come as no surprise that a US strike on Iran, as a massive producer of petroleum, can be expected to precipitate an economic crisis threatening Trump’s planned economic recovery among other potential dastardly impacts. Iran produced 3.3 million barrels a day and exports 2 million barrels daily with a net oil export revenue in 2023 of $53 billion. While the current price of crude oil is currently $75 per gallon, Kirk Elliott, PhD economist, predicts that even the “perception of conflict” in Iran will be detrimental to economic stability. Anticipating an immediate oil price immediately rise to $130/gallon can be expected while increasing inflation 5% while increasing interest rates. The Iranians control the Straits of Hormuz which sees 20 million/barrels pass daily through the Straits as 20% of the world’s oil petroleum consumption passes daily through Hormuz – all of which can be expected to negatively affect Trump’s planned economic agenda. Especially if any potential domestic trauma like regime change forces Iran to attack US aircraft carriers with the potential of 5,000 Marines on board.
Globalists can be expected to take advantage of every challenging factor that will negatively affect the price of crude oil in an effort to derail Trump’s economic agenda. The longer it takes the US to complete its belligerent goal in Iran, the higher and faster the price per gallon will zoom in a vertical direction.
In addition, as the US increases its full war mode, Mr. Powell’s persistence in maintaining interest rates may be sufficiently uncooperative to totally destroy President Trump’s cherished economic recovery. Surely, the President’s advisors have considered all the economic implications of war on Iran and factored them in to break the news that a recession may be on the horizon with the possibility of a historic depression in the wings.
One may recall that the US adventure in Afghanistan cost the country a conservative estimate of $3 trillion with the cost of the war in Iraq at $1.5 Trillion. Given the nature of the country’s current $37 Trillion debt, all numbers are predictably speculative.
It would be wise for the Trump Administration to plan for the worse and hope for the best.

In the face of DNI Director Tulsi Gabbard’s March 25th Senate testimony that
“The IC continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and Supreme Leader Khamenei has not authorized the nuclear weapons program that he suspended in 2003,”
Trump’s “I don’t care what she said response was challenged by the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency). Responsible for monitoring nuclear plants which reported destruction at the Natanz site constituted a UN Charter violation, violations of international law and of the IAEA. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi further reported that the agency “did not have any proof of a systematic effort (by Iran) to move toward a nuclear weapon. “
When reporters asked Trump about Gabbard’s Senate testimony that there was no Intelligence confirming Iran of seeking a nuclear weapon, Trump dismissed Gabbard’s assessment.
“I don’t care what she said. I think they were very close to having one.”
On Air Force One recently, Trump further responded that
“Just because Iran is not building a nuclear weapon right now, doesn’t mean they aren’t ‘very close.’
More recently the President asked “Well, who in the intelligence community said that?” When the response was Gabbard, Trump replied,
“then my intelligence community is wrong. She’s wrong.”
Gabbard along with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth were both not invited to attend a foreign policy meeting on Sunday to discuss the US response to the Iran – Israel conflict. In other words, Trump believes he does not require an Intel assessment but believes the hype of whatever he is being told by those with an alternative agenda that does not support his proposed MAGA agenda; preferring to maintain an open door for an unconstitutional military strike in violation of international law.
In an interview with Max Blumental of the Grayzone, Dr. Foad Izadi, professor at University of Tehran confirmed the duplicity of Trump’s active participation in an attempt to lull Iran into believing that negotiations regarding enrichment of nuclear material was legitimate. After a month of extensive planning, Trump’s negotiating with Iran has been compared to “a con man doing a con job” saying publicly he was interested in “making a deal” with Iran. Yet days before Israel’s attack, Trump was hyping ‘give diplomacy a chance’ and ’negotiations were going well’ all the while aware of Israel’s imminent planned attack.
After leaving the G7 meeting early, Trump denied Macron’s mention of pursuing a ceasefire when he responded.
“He has no idea why I am now on my way to Washington but it certainly has nothing to do with a ceasefire. Much bigger than that. Whether purposely or not, Macros always gets it wrong. Stay tuned.”
Ominous words that hinted at a provocative incentive for what is to come.
AS US military involvement in war against Iran is debated, Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon, both MAGA and Trump supporters have publicly opposed Trump’s military intervention in a magnificent dialogue. In addition, Charlie Kirk, of Turning Point USA predicted that a US strike on Iran will “cause a massive schism within MAGA” while Mollie Hemingway, Editor at the Federalist, warned Trump “knows in his gut this would be a strategic policy mistake” as it “would be seen as an unforgivable betrayal by millions of Americans.”
Trump’s response to Tucker’s opposition was to dismiss him as ‘kooky’ as the Trump administration will be reviewing Musk’s Space X contracts as Trump announced
“The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts. I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it!”
In addition, while Trump takes credit for establishing MAGA (Make America Great Again) ‘considering that I am the one that developed America First and considering that the term was not used until I came along, I think I’m the one that decides…..” insisting he will decide MAGA actions whether to begin WW III with a major war in the Middle East. If Trump believes that the coalition that elected him in 2024 will be ready and willing to carry on despite his decision, he may be delusional.
Since it appears that the US may imminently attack Iran with a full range of its weapon arsenal as well as boots on the ground to certify regime change, the universal question is whether Russia or China will respond. If US hegemony is maintained, conceivably Russian development south of the Caspian Sea may be limited just as China may be blocked from access to the Middle East. Elimination of Iran could conceivably create a new American World Order.
Trump words describing Biden’s inability to deal with crisis may some day echo back to him:
“Our president will start a war with Iran because he has absolutely no ability to negotiate. He’s weak and he’s ineffective. So the only way he figures that he’s going to get reelected — and as sure as you’re sitting there — is to start a war with Iran.”
