President Trump said resolving conflicts is more difficult than he thought.
As for Ukraine, “Putin is particularly tough in negotiations and wants it all”.
Concerning Gaza, “it is difficult to find a solution because they have been fighting for a thousand years!”
This is his narrative. Facts show what the reality is.
Under the leadership of President Trump, the White House announced, the United States and Ukraine have entered into ‘a historic, first-of-its-kind partnership’: Ukraine is handing over its natural resources – minerals such as rare earths, uranium, lithium and others, estimated to be worth $13 trillion, plus oil and gas – to the United States, which will entrust US companies with exploiting them.
Fifty percent of the profits will end up in US multinationals and government agencies’ coffers.
The other 50% will be used by ‘a company with equal representation’, effectively under US control, “to rebuild and modernise Ukraine in response to the large-scale destruction caused by Russia’s invasion”.
This partnership, says the White House, ‘sends a strong message to Russia that the United States is in the game and committed to Ukraine’s long-term success. No state, company, or individual that has financed or supplied the Russian war machine will benefit from Ukraine’s reconstruction. Immediately after the conclusion of this ‘historic partnership’ between the US and Ukraine, the US resumed sending arms to Ukraine.
The White House informs: In the Middle East, President Trump has “strengthened strategic partnerships” with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and other Gulf countries.
Trump announced Saudi Arabia’s commitment to invest 600 billion in the US. The first planned deals “strengthen the defence industry, our energy security, technological leadership and access to global infrastructure and critical minerals.” Further Saudi investment in the US is expected to bring the total to $1 trillion.
There is also good business with Qatar, which gave Trump a luxury jet valued at $400 million, and signed, in the presence of President Trump, a contract with US-based Boeing for the purchase of 210 airliners.
